New Season!

With less than a week to go until the Pioneers home opener on Friday October 6th at 7:30pm, the team has been hard at work during training camp since September 18th. 

If you've been following social media, you will have seen the roster building through the summer with key returning players - goaltender Meric Larson, defencemen Dustin Ackabee and forwards Seth Williams and Oliver Lovely. The goalposts will also be defended by newcomers Quavis Crane and Austin Trieber. New editions up front will be Elijah Ramirez-Roszko and Brandon Corbeil while Dusty will be joined on the backend by Wesley Gryba-Smith, Storm Burns, Hayden Ram and Heath Whiteknife. Stay tuned for further roster announcements this week. Returning behind the bench are Head Coach Steve Arsenault and assistant coach Leighton Larson. 

In addition to training hard, the Pioneers have been active in the Gibbons and surrounding community participating in many events including:

• The Gibbons Town Parade

• coaching at the Pioneers Summer Camp
•  Gibbons Community Night
• Terry Fox Run 

We would love to see the town out to support our Pioneers as they take on rivals Fox Creek Friday October 6th at 7:30pm and newcomers the Northern Alberta Lightning Saturday October 7th at 7:30pm, both at the Gibbons Arena. We have made some arena upgrades with Club seating, new bar service and lower ticket prices.
